A close neighbor to Forbidden Peak, Sahale shares the same incredible setting as its iconic neighbor. The Quien Sabe Glacier route up the western flanks of Sahale is an ideal objective for individuals early in their alpine climbing journey. The route sports moderate snow and glacial travel with a short exposed 4th class ridge to an unforgettable summit. Terrain well-suited for mountaineering and alpine rock climbing training is easily accessed from basecamp. This provides a convenient classroom for a day of preparation for those with no prior experience. The climb follows the same itinerary as Forbidden peak with an approach through steeply forested slopes to a basecamp nestled in the alpine meadows of Boston Basin.
