New Hampshire has 48 peaks over 4,000’ feet of elevation. Many offer stunning summits above treeline with 360° views and rugged alpine conditions. Mount Washington may hold the title of tallest peak in the northeast, but there are many other objectives that can offer a similar or even more spectacular alpine experience. A few of our Favorites are Mount Adams (5,774’), Lafayette (5,260), and Mount Pierce (4,310’). Interested in tagging a few peaks? Consider pursuing the iconic Franconia Ridge Traverse or breaking your adventure up into two days with a stay at Gray Knob Cabin in the Northern Presidential Range.
