At 10,781’ Mount Baker stands as the northernmost sentinel of the Cascade volcanoes in the United States. There is perhaps no better introduction to glacial terrain in the lower 48. Baker not only hosts an unbeatable learning environment and a variety of moderate routes, it also sports several technical and physically demanding classic routes to challenge more experienced climbers. All of this is set in one of the most scenic backdrops of American mountaineering with The North Cascades stretching north and south to the horizon.
