Number of Days: 3 with prior mountaineering experience, 4 without.

The Easton Glacier route offers a moderate mountaineering journey to the 10,781′ summit of Mount Baker. Navigation around large crevasses, seracs and ice falls will engage both the first time mountaineer and seasoned veteran. Our journey begins with an approach through ancient forests to the lateral moraine of the imposing Easton Glacier. Camp is nestled on a rock peninsula just shy of 6,000′ dividing the Deming and Easton Glaciers. Enjoy stunning views of the Twin Sister Range and San Juan Islands to the west which only improve as we ascend. The summit attempt will launch from here and for those with no prior mountaineering training we will take an afternoon or additional day and use this as our classroom to learn the necessary skills to climb safely. Skills covered include self and team arrest, cramponing techniques and rope-travel. After our summit attempt we will return to camp for an early night of much deserved rest before a casual descent the following day.

Our name sake stretches out to the west just below the summit.
